Description

The Trimming Set comes with the Electric, Plug-In, 110 volt Hoof Boss. The set contains a mixture of different types of discs.

Removing hoof material is accomplished by either cutting or removing the material through abrasion. The 8-tooth Cdisc is used to cut material from the hoof easily removing hoof flap. The Cdisc produces a fast, smooth, controllable cut. The 8 tooth Cdisc would also be the choice for trimming large herds of goats.

There are three abrasive trimming discs used to remove hoof material through abrasion. The Gold fine grit abrasive disc is used on smaller goats with less to trim or for a first time trim. The Blue medium grit abrasive disc is used on goats that have small to standard size hooves or regularly maintained hooves that do not require a lot of work to bring them back to confirmation. The Blue medium-grit disc is also used when treating a foundered goat. The Silver coarse grit abrasive disc is best suited for medium to large goat breeds like Boer Goats. Choice of trimming disc will be dependent on the environment and current condition of the goat’s hooves.

The Trimmer itself is designed to help ease the wrist and hand pain associated with hoof trimming and is easily operated with one hand.

I found this to much easier than using clippers for my herd. We have several different breeds of goats from small to large. This tool made it so much easier on my hands and wrists. I do feel like the first time using it I was really nervous about the control and pressure I needed, but after a few goats I felt like I knew how it handled and how much pressure to apply (not much needed) in order to get their hooves trimmed appropriately. Service was amazing! I had quick response over the weekend and was super appreciative of the professional service that was provided! I’m am so extremely happy to finally decide to make this purchase. Well worth the money!

Worth EVERY penny!

Got this set for hubby for his birthday. He is the main hoof trimmer on the farm for our goats with me holding the animals or entertaining the animals while he trims. These have been a game changer with saving time, doing a better job than the clippers and really helping to get some of our older does hooves back into better shape than we have been able to do with just clippers. Great value, lots of different blades and sanders. He is quite pleased with these are therefore, so am I!!

First- this project came with directions. No guess wiork, looking it up on you tube feeling the frustration.Now that I have used the Hoof Boss I would recommend considering the cordless vesrsion for a quick trimming the field!

Five for a reason

There's a reason this product has almost five : It's worth every penny. Don't think about it; just get it. I just trimmed the hooves of my best old milk goat who has chronic laminitis and near impossible to correct by hand. This did the job in 10 minutes. Wish I had this 15 years ago!
