I've shod and trimmed my own horses for over 5 decades and finally had to face the fact that I can no longer use my old tools the old way. I had bought another hand grinder and it was helping but I couldn't quite get the angles I wanted and the work done that I needed so I bought the BOSS. Heaven! It is a boss!

Worth every penny. The noise does not bother the horses. Takes 10-15 min to get back set complete and the same for the front. May take less time as we continue to use…works amazing! Light weight, love being able to hook onto belt or pants, love that it is not plugged in causing a cord issue. If you trim for a living- highly recommend to save time and bending over for longer periods of time. Great for you and the horse!

Couldn’t live without it

I bought a second hoof boss horse trimming kit, because I wanted to keep one with a carbide grinder and one with the chain disc. One of my ponies has hooves as hard as epoxy, including the soul and just laughs at hoof knives. Trimming their feet has actually become enjoyable because it’s so easy with a chain disc. I was fearful of it in the beginning because I own many chainsaws and know what damage a sharp chain can do, but it’s all in the way you use the tool. Wonderful invention, I wish the discs were cheaper, but you get what you pay for.

This product is brilliant. I have a mini that has shocking hooves and with farriers in short supply this helps me keep him sound and happy. Note: if in Australia get the normal dewalt battery not the power stack battery as the power stack does not work with this tool! That is no fault of this tool.

Game Changer

I just happened upon Hoof Boss. Being a farrier and veterinarian I was very skeptical. It looked like another gimmick. You know one of those”for just blah, blah” and was waiting for the “ but wait there’s more” routine. Boy was I wrong. This little device is a game change for those of us who have experienced life’s tough road. I was personally told I wouldn’t be able to trim or shoe again. This little guy is worth every penny spent.
