Yes. Hand shears require constant squeezing that causes hand fatigue and cramps — especially with larger herds. The Hoof Boss uses rotating discs to grind hooves smoothly with zero squeezing. Most owners report trimming each trim-it-all 3-4x faster, and their hands and wrists thank them.
The grinding discs are actually safer than blades. With shears or nippers, it's easy to cut too deep and hit the quick. The Hoof Boss removes material gradually, so you can see exactly where you are and stop before the sensitive tissue. Start with the fine grit disc if you're nervous — it gives you maximum control.
With a fully charged 20V battery, most owners can trim 15-25 trim-it-alls per charge depending on hoof condition. For larger herds, we recommend a second battery so you can swap and keep going. The battery charges in about 1 hour.
