I love my hoof boss! Makes trimming a lot easier and quicker, my horses accepted it quickly, it’s light and easy to use. I finish off with a flat hand file but it’s a few rasps to get balance perfect and done.after hoof boss has done most of the work
I love my Hoofboss! It makes trimming super hard dry hooves much faster and easier. This makes my life easier because my horses don't have to stand as long. My old horses are more comfortable because their trims are so much faster. Young horses behave better because their trims are faster. I can trim even in the summer when hooves are so hard its impossible to use even a very sharp hoof knife. I haven't had a horse yet absolutely refuse to let me use the Hoofboss on them with a proper introduction to the tool.
So far I like it! I still practice on wood and desensitize my horses to the noise and vibration.
I was surprised how noisy it is. I also find it hard to start it one handed as my hands are small and the reason I bought it was because I’m starting to have trouble with my hands. That’s the reason for 4 stars and not 5.
Does work great though. And I think it will make a huge difference especially when the hoofs are rock hard.
I had used Hoof Boss tools for many years now. I like the way the tool works and makes life easier for hoof trimming. However, the tools 10 to 15 years ago lasted a long time, the newer ones maybe a year, then the internal clutch fails and does not engage the drive any longer. The tool just is not the same quality any longer than it once was. Disappointed.
We have 16 little Miniature Horses, and a few Shetland Ponies, plus 4 Arabians... As we are getting up there in age (now in our 60') my Husband's back gives him lots of trouble.. That along with the economy here in the US being so bad, when I ran across an ad for your tool, I knew we just had to try it🤠🏇🐴🐎
So far we are absolutely thrilled with it, in fact, I just ordered some more attachments for it...
